It is summer here in Mohall, North Dakota, and that means there are plenty of summer activities in the church.  Whether you like golfing, softball, camping, or just studying the Word of God, there is something for you at New Horizons Church of the Nazarene.  We hope to see you at one of our many activities in the near future.

Summer Schedule:

Monday

6:30 p.m. – Weekly Bible Study

This Bible study will focus on the 16 articles of faith in the Nazarene Church, and is open to anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of basic Christian theology.  Doubling as a membership class, this bible study will also serve as a prerequisite for membership in the church.  The Bible study will be in the Nachatilo’s home.  Call pastor Luke for directions.

Tuesday

6:00 p.m. – Church Softball

This outreach event is for anyone who wants to play softball.  The leuage has been set up to be family friendly and fun.  The games will begin every week at 6:30 p.m.  If you don’t play anymore, please come out and root for your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Wednesday

6:30 p.m. – Praise Team Practice

This midweek worship event will serve as a time to prepare for the Sunday worship service.  Even though it is a practice, it is open to the public.  If you find yourself busy on the weekends or just can’t make it to church that week, feel free to sit and worship with us as we prepare.

Sunday

9:45 a.m. – Morning Fellowship

As we prepare to launch our Sunday school in the fall, we will give our teachers a much needed summer break.  Therefore, join us before the main service for a time of fellowship and snacks.  Sunday school will resume September 12th.

10:30 a.m. – Worship Service

This is the primary service each week designed to worship God.  It is here where we share the gospel, pray, give testimonies, hear the Word of God, and worship God as one body in Christ.  Our worship style is blended which means we use power point and drums; however, we also sing older hymns.  The sermons are easy to understand, and even hold the attention of teenagers.

6:30 p.m. – Golf Night

Join us for a weekly game of golf at the Mohall Country Club.  If you are not the best golfer, you can still have a blast as each team only plays the best shot of the team.  There are even groups of ladies that tee off together.  This is another outreach event that you can invite non-Christians to attend.  If you do not have a membership, the weekly cost is $15 per person.

News:

Kids Camp

Many great things happened at kids camp this year.  Over 10 children accepted Christ as their personal savior.  Below is a picture of Pastor’s group.  By this time next year, we may be sending many more kids to camp.  What an exciting time in the life of our church.

Family Camp Registration

Can you believe that there is less than two months left until family camp?  The time has come to register and prepare for the trip.  Did you know that family camp is the most important spiritual event of the year for our church?  Family camp provides a spiritual jumpstart to the entire church.  The guests and family members you invite may accept Christ, families and marriages are strengthened, and most are spiritually revived and are filled with joy.  It is the vision of our church that we send at least 44 people to camp this year.  Please, support our vision and join us for a weekend of fun and spiritual growth.

Sunday School Kickoff

God has truly blessed this ministry.  New Horizons has more than doubled over the past year.  If we are to maintain this growth, the church must develop its Sunday school program.  In addition, with the number of children expected to reach around 30 in the fall, a quality children’s church must also emerge.  Currently, pastor Luke is looking for people who are called and gifted to lead in these areas of ministry.  For growth to continue, more believers must become ministers.  Are you called to ministry in our church?
