Church Staff
Pastor Luke Oakes:
Pastor Luke is now in his second year as the minister at New Horizons Church of the Nazarene. He is a young and energetic pastor. Originally from Cambridge MN, he accepted his call to ministry in 2004. After spending four years at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs and graduating at the top of his class, he felt that God was leading him to pastor our church. He wife’s name is Christina, and they have two bouncing boys named Landon and Hunter. In his spare time, Pastor Luke likes to golf, hunt, sing, camp, and many other activities that involve more than one person.
Raquel Nachatilo:
Raquel is our church secretary. It is her job to keep the records of church activities and business. In addition, Raquel has also volunteered to lead our worship services. As our worship leader, she works jointly with Pastor Luke to create an order of worship for the weekly services. As the worship leader, she is also the leader of our praise team “New Day”. She is married to Josh and has the cutest baby girl named Anna.
Jason Genareo:
Over the past few months Jason has volunteered to work with our youth. As the youth leader, it is Jason’s responsibility to arrange and organize activities for youth at the church. Steve Strandberg is also working with our youth as Jason’s assistant. Jason is married to Paula and has two daughters: Alexis and Gianna.
Mark Scharmer:
Mark has functioned as the Treasurer of New Horizons Church for many years. With his hard work, the church and its holdings have been in faithful hands. Like Pastor Luke, Mark loves to golf. He is married to Lori Scharmer and has two grown children Amiee Wilson and Drew Scharmer.

Currently, the church board of New Horizons Nazarene Church is comprised of the following people: Pastor Luke Oakes, Mark Scharmer, Randy Johnson, Curtis Ruud, Josh Nachitilo, Raquel Nachitilo, Jason Genareo, and Alexis Genareo.
